On April 27/2027, WSAIE, in collaboration with the WEGO project, conducted a Workshop with the HPR Agricultural Standing Committee and Other Stakeholders on the Mandates of Reporting Gender Issues of the Agriculture Sector for all Concerned Bodies and reached a consensus.
The workshop created opportunities to discuss strategies, opportunities, and challenges of the agricultural sector to ensure gender equality in the area. It strengthens cooperation between MOA and HPR to frame the women and youth empowerment and social inclusion works of the agriculture investments. The participants also discussed how to strengthen the weak gender structure of the agricultural sector despite its huge role and responsibilities. The Gender Equality Strategy of the Agriculture Sector (GESA) was presented, and constructive inputs were collected for further incorporation before it is disseminated. Finally, the HPR Agricultural Standing Committee members and other participants planned the major area of collaboration and follow-up based on their roles and responsibilities to support the sector.
