In the MOA, Women and Social Affairs Inclusion Executives (WSAIE), in collaboration with the Agricultural Investment and Product Marketing Executive and the WEGO project, has conducted consultative workshop on the private sector to better detect and protect against child labour, gender-based discrimination, and other labour rights violations within their supply chains in horticulture VCs.
In the workshop, challenges faced by Women investors engaged in agricultural investment were presented, and a discussion was conducted on potential solutions with stakeholders. HPR Agricultural Standing Committee leaders, MOA, State Minister of the Investment sector, Sidama region BOA head, Investment commission, and women investors have participated.
